Today was a bittersweet hike.  We celebrated Bob's 400th hike with a poster and cookies but we certainly missed Joyce's presence.  Our hearts go out to her and Damon.  We honored Joyce and Bill by keeping her "spot" open on the hike - having only 19 hikers instead of our usual 20.  We touched the Earth and reached for the Skies in memory of Bill.  And than we hiked trying to avoid the flooding.  The pond was out as the trail was flooded.  We hiked up hills and more hills getting close to 1000 feet of elevation today.  We went up the warm up hill, we hiked on the higher trails, we went to the ruins and back; wherever we could go to have trails to navigate.  As always, I'm glad to have our Thursday morning Family to keep us going!!!
