It's sad that everyone couldn't do this hike today. It was really a terrific event, with perfect weather, a very comfortable pace, and several newbies to the AOC that were great trail companions.

The trails were a bit wet in places, but nothing that hampered our enjoyment of the trek. The views at the top of Blood Mountain were spectacular, and several members posed there for pictures. We ate lunch at the top, but didn't stay there too long, as the chilly breeze ocassionally broke into a strong wind that wreaked havoc with our hats! ~ Joyce
