What a great day for hiking! We had 12 energetic folks ready for Sweetwaters adventure. Trail conditions were dry except for there were a couple of falls in the group. ( quickly rebounded) The Park did have a night trail run. (The Yeti nightmare run) We did not find any lost stragglers on the trail. The cohesiveness of the hike was applausible with a good finish and a quick collection at all stops. I would like to welcome some newcomers, Dawn & Karen, to the club. It looks like Bonnie B will be doing more D-5s soon! Our club will be missing Mary Beth Schlabach (MB). She will be moving to another state. She is a great hiker with a very positive and a "you can do it attitude". She will be terribly missed! We were honored to have Ann Howard on this hike. It's always a good thing to have extra eyes on the trail. Looking forward to our Amicalola Falls hike for next week. Probably will see a lot of thru hikers starting on the Southern terminus, heading North.
