Write Up:

We were grateful the rain that was possible this morning delayed its start, so that we had a completely dry hike - - except for the trails that were extremely muddy in places from recent rains. We went from the Pigeon Hill parking lot (officially named now) to the tomb of the unknown soldier before turning back.

As we passed along Noses Creek, we were treated to the dulcet tones of a melodic lap drum being played by a musician whose inspiration was certainly heightened by the sounds of the running water in the creek. What a pretty interlude!

It was great to have David P. back after his knee replacement surgery. And it's the last AOC event with Bob R. and Debbie as a single couple. The big day is Saturday!

Sadly, we had a couple of spots left vacant because of last minute cancellations. ~  Joyce
