Write Up:
We had some well prepared hikers with high tenacity and eagerness to take on the Arkaquah. We dialed in our effort on elevation climbs more than the miles. It was good to see the trail back in good condition, thanks to trail maintenance from other hiking clubs. Leigh Ball was a new comer to the Arkaquah but she nailed it and recently completed two of the toughest hikes in the North Georgia Mountains. We had Michael's dog Kody with us on trail. Eric W backpacked the entire trail. The weather gave us the low seventies all day. Another major hike in the books, but looking forward to many more. Also we want to wish Leigh a very happy birthday! Nice to see some of my trail buddies . .
