Write Up:

Five miles at Gold Branch in 2 hours - not bad in this heat and with the trails we trekked!  And according to the write up!!  We started our hike up hill as we made our way up to the old car.  Of course, Dan R. had to ask the questiion, "Who has the keys?"  We went along Bull Sluice and Ron found an easier way around the area we passed that has the two logs.  Unbeknownst to all of us, since we have never, I guess,  thought to look, we were able to cross the water by navigating a couple of rocks -  much easier than trying to cross over the two little logs. Thank you Ron and your dogs for showing us the way!!  One minor fall occurred with no injuries:).  We made our way exactly like the write-up promised - the exterior of the park along with some of the challenging interior trails. Everyone brought fluids - thank you everyone!!  And thank you all for making today a great day!! ~ Carol
