What an interesting day! 8 of us met for a wonderful hike around Davidson-Arabia. We had 3 hikers joining us for their first AOC hike - Tamika, Carla, and Vanilla - in addition to some returning hikers. We started off across the Mile Rock trail, and ended up on a movie set! They had finished filming, but some of the props, including a tomato plant with bright red tomatoes!, were still there. A ranger pointed out that there was a metal elephant (10 ft tall?) sitting by the waterfall! As we continued back on the Forest Trail, we passed the Fishing with Fathers participants - a nice way to celebrate Father's Day - and then took a little time on the PATH trail before wrapping up our hike.
