What a patriotic morning we had! Lots of red, white and blue and happy faces. It was especially nice to have Val on the hike today, because it was the 20th anniversary of her American citizenship. It's wonderful to see a person who's so proud to be an American.

We missed Carol today (and Jose, of course), but she was with us in spirit!  

We managed to get in over 5 miles today which we feel is just fine for these hot, muggy days. ~ Joyce
