A day of celebration - - Russ's 200th AOC event! We've looked forward to Russ's milestone hike for several weeks and were delighted that he was able to reach it today.  
The morning was hot and humid, but no rain . . . so we did our normal brisk pace and clocked in over 5.5 miles. As we hiked, we passed several AOC members who were not able to get on the hike but needed their Thursday morning Island Ford fix - - Tracy, Regina, Barbara, Young Jeff, and Bette.  
We missed Carol and José today, but look forward to their return next week. This well-disciplined group could do the hike without a leader and not miss a step. Carol and I consider this the highlight of our week each Thursday morning. ~ Joyce
