What a beautiful (if not hot) day for a hike at Red Top Mountain State Park.  We did the white trail and then the entire homestead loop.  We visited the ruins of the old homestead for which the trail is named.  Much of these trails were along the shores of Lake Allatoona which afforded us some beautiful vistas.  We finished on the sweet gum trail and back to the parking lot.  We completed our 5.5 mile hike in about 2.5 hours.  ~ Holt
