Another successful hike in the Mountains still dry... not sure about our leaf season. This is a trail that will give you the views! For the backpackers on the A/T, do not depend on your old water stops for processing. From what I been noticing, all the small tributaries are dry! I would also take caution on the campfires. For lunch we celebrated Laura's 100th event and shared many stories over the number of years of hiking together. Laura can also add the bee sting story that she and Bob Bunner encountered on the way down from Tray! We also did some off trail scouting and came upon some really nice camp spots. The trail pace was pretty fast - we kept a tight line all the way back to the cars. Everyone finished together with smiles and laughter from our trail talk. All said and done after a big day, I was home sitting in my comfortable chair by 5:00 pm. It was a good day in the North Georgia Mountains!!
