A great hike to close out August! The weather was warm but dry, so that we didn't wilt from the heat. The pace was good and the trails were dry and relatively free of poison ivy. 

We walked to the education center where we had ashort rest break before circling back along the river. Richard's wife was able to get off the wait-list as were all the other registrants.

How nice to see Elizabeth V. Beck and Bill Pate on the trail. So many fond memories of hiking with them. They have a beautiful dog now - - Domino! ~ Joyce
