The speed that this group accomplished this hike shows how I underestimated them. Accomplishing this in just over three hours’ time considering that must of this group had never done anything near this difficult says a lot about the hikers I had in this group. Their enthusiasm to do this hike with brief stops to keep the group together and very fast break at the Visitor Center allow us to keep the pace up.

A special thanks to those newer members; Pan and Susan for their sixth hike, and George and Yvonne on joining us for their eight hike. Thanks to the rest of the group for making them feel part of our club.
