What a wonderful way to start the last day of summer. Ten eager faces climbing to greet the dawn. We relaxed in "our spot" with coffee and snacks and plenty of photo ops. Then around the mountain including such highlights as the carving, gristmill, covered bridge, Stone Mountain Lake and Venable Lake, past the connector to the Nature Trail, and a bit of rock scrambling back up the mountain at the end. We hit the Walk Up Trail, rejoining the crowds, and down to the parking lot we went. Thank you to Joyce for sharing your photos! And thank you to each of you who shared in making it a great last morning of summer.
