What a wonderful late fall hike at Johnson Ferry North and Hyde Farm this morning.  We headed out to the trails along the Chattahoochee first before moving to the Hyde Farm property.  We did a wonderful ridge walk before moving back down to the river level.  One more climb back up to the Powers family (and later Hyde family) home where we learned a little about the Powers and Hyde families who farmed this property for over 150 years.  Next we hiked along Mulberry Creek which is a pretty stream, crossing it perhaps 6-8 times.  We finished the hike with a walk long a marsh area before reaching the parking lot and our cars.  A beautiful 5.2 mile, 2 hour hike.  ~ Holt
