Write Up:
What a wonderful day for a hike!  It was very cool this morning.  We got started a little bit late due to the Park Service not opening the gate until right at 7:30 AM.  Those of us that parked by the road like the trip details denoted weren't affected :-)  Once all of the sign-in was completed, we circled up to introduce the two new guys to the AOC and to quickly go over the hike.  The hike was 10 times easier today than in past weeks due to the low temperature and low humidity.  Soon we were gathering at Burnt Hickory Road.  After a small break we headed back.  The group synced up again on top of Big Kennesaw then headed back down rapidly.  It sure was nice not to have to deal with the heat of recent hikes over these mountains.  Let's do it again sometime.
