Write Up:
This hike brought some folks from the northern end to Atlanta. They are well seasoned hikers with good trail legs! Long Island Creek had a strong flow including Charlie's Creek and Cabin Creek. On a typical day, some of these tributaries are just dripping. The woods are always alive... saw a turkey, included was a florid orange sunrise . The winter woods gave away its true contours.... deep hollows and some pretty darn tall hills. Hey speaking of hills....Thinking seriously about including the BAH in my walk. Some parts of the trail were sloppy, lots of precarious trees hanging over the trail and plenty of unleashed dogs. It was a good hike looking forward to hitting it again! Nice to meet Lyn S and it was also good to see Joyce B on the trail again.
