A happy group of AOC hikers enjoyed a perfect, crisp, sunny, spring day as we descended through the pines and hemlocks alongside Panther Creek.  The falls were impressively full due to recent rains and the beautiful weather ensured a few other nature lovers, including a college age group of backpackers, were out with us on the trail.  Winter restoration work on the trail was complete and included an impressive rebuild of the steep descent to the bottom of the falls, but did not repair several damaged sections of the  cable/ hand-holds.  The trail, as before, merits a little attention and caution in some sections!  But all in our party agreed this is a beautiful spot in the North Georgia mountains.
