Simpsonwood is a gem of a park in Gwinnett County. Trail maps are available for the popular 2.5 mile loop, but there are many inner trails that only the locals know. I recruited John B. (a local of the area) to help me out today by guiding the group on some "secret" trails not on the main loop. We saw the remains of a still, some beautiful trails, and a meditation sanctuary - - places I'd never seen before at Simpsonwood!

The hike was even more special because it was Dave P.'s 200th AOC event! Congratulations, Dave!

John B. is anxious to become an AOC trip leader himself, and will start training as soon as the AOC resumes TL training. ~ Joyce
