Marvelous winter day on the trail! Eight strong hikers started at Vogel State Park and completed the green-blazed Coosa Backcountry loop, one of the toughest in Georgia, including a short side trip to the summit of Coosa Bald. The day started out chilly with a stiff wind. Thankfully, the wind subsided and sunny, clear day pushed through.
