Phenomenal day with 9 seasoned AOC hikers on the Wagon Train Trail. Started out chilly at Young Harris College but we quickly shedded layers as we warmed up and ascended an old state highway. One of the three trails to reach the Georgia state high point, Brasstown Bald. The trail was at times muddy and snow covered, a few blowdowns but otherwise a very hikable trail. After lunch at the observation tower, the stiff wind made it too chilly to stay so we left to head back down the way we came. Lots of great view on such a sunny clear day in the Brasstown Wilderness.
