It's getting redundant, but I can't help writing that today's hike was again a most enjoyable event! We had all seasoned veterans, so it was like a family reunion . . . friendly, pleasant conversation throughout the hike.

We saw a first on the trail today - - two very large spiders (each about 3 inches from toe to toe to toe X 8). They were busy getting to know each other and didn't pay any attention to us enormous onlookers. I predict little spiderlings in the near future!

Congratulations to Russ and Steve who tied for first place up the warm-up hill today. And a big thank-you to Lee for his photo contributions to this album. ~ Joyce
