Write Up:

It was fun getting together on this blue-sky spring day for a ~14-mile bike ride on Roswell's scenic "Riverwalk."  Ideal for cyclists as well as hikers, its wide "PATH-style" paved sections and boardwalks traverse the north shore of "Bull Sluice Lake," the slow-flowing section of the Chattahoochee that's just upstream of Morgan Falls dam.  A pretty 1/2 mile stretch of its smooth boardwalk extends across a shady corner of the lake where we enjoyed the close company of nesting Canada geese and scarlet-red cardinals.
It was a treat to have Kian with us on her very first AOC outing after joining our fine Club last week.  Kian, we hope to see you often in the future!  Many thanks also to Sue who has done a fine job as my Co-Leader for this event and soon no doubt will become a "fully starred" member of our volunteer leadership team. -
