It turned out to be a very humid morning. Though the temperature wasn't extremely high, we sweated, earning our 5.3 mile hike and the NRT lunch that followed.

We saw a very pregnant deer who seemed as though she had no interest in exerting any energy to run away. Maybe we'll have a couple of cute little fawns to photograph soon! 

We welcomed Drew to his first Thursday morning Island Ford hike;  he's a perfect fit for the hike and will hopefully return on a regular basis.~ Joyce
