Write Up:

Well, we did get caught in a 7 minute rain shower during our hike, but we stood under trees and got only minimally wet. (Some of us had rain gear, but others didn't think we'd encounter rain!)

Getting a little wet was well worth the adventure. We got close enough to a heron to almost touch it; and we saw some deer, one of which was a beautiful buck with antlers still in velvet. We got beautiful views of the misty river (the result of the cold rain), and enjoyed varying out hike to go through the gravel trail in the woods.

We were so happy to be able to get the hike in today, with the rain forecast being so dismal! ~ Joyce
