A very hot, humid morning for our Thursday morning hike, but we did what we always do . . . we pushed ourselves and got in about 5.4 miles. We had several new-to-Island Ford members on our hike today: Gert, on her first, event; Jon, on his 3rd event; and Katy, on her 4th event. They all handled the hike beautifully!

We encountered a large renegade group on the trail as well as Tomme, who was doing a solo hike. We also saw a big black snake and a box turtle!

Michelle was in fine form, and was first up the warm-up hill once again!
