We had a full house of 12 eager hikers for our hike at Red Top Mountain State Park.  Our hike covered the White Trail, the Homestead Trail and parts of the Sweet Gum Trail on today's hike.  The views of the lake as we moved around the Homestead loop were great.  For the most part, we had the trails to ourselves and the group was feeling fairly strong so we moved at a 3 MPH pace, covering the nearly 6 miles in a little over 2 hours.  Several of the group brought their lunches and we sat together by the lakeshore and enjoyed our lunch and each others company before departing for home. ~ Holt
