Write Up: We had a good time yesterday evening hiking the shady trails and gently rolling walkways that encircle Brookhaven's Blackburn Park. The colorful foliage, cooling breeze and dozens of smiling kids with their families were all delightful!
A big high five to Libby for kicking off this friendly relaxed-pace AOC hiking option last February and for leading it personally on dozens of Sunday afternoons since. We thank her for entrusting us "veterans" of the hike - David, Dan, Claudia, Dolores and me, Charlie - to jointly enjoy it in her absence this time due to a last-minute conflict.
In keeping with Libby's tradition we got our hearts pumping with 2 complete circuits of the park in opposite directions, beginning & ending on the shady hillside where we gather.
