Can you say "muddy trails"? They were all that and more. Thankfully, it didn't actually rain during our hike . . . it just misted enough to require a bag over my camera when I wasn't taking pictures. The friendly company on the hike made up for the miserable weather.

Two days ago, we had 15 registrants plus a waiting list, but by hike time only the hardiest remained (and they probably wished they had stayed warm in bed). Always get on the waiting list for events. One never knows . . . .

Four of us stayed at the park to join David W. for his afternoon hike - - his 3rd AOC co-lead on his way to becoming a trip leader. By the end of the day, we had clocked in close to 11 miles.

Let's hope for better weather next Thursday. ~ Joyce
