Write Up:
All 11 hikers who signed up for the hike, showed up.  No wimps here!  Everyone was layered up and ready to go!  After finding our way around the road closings due to a gas leak, everyone headed out on the trails. 

A big thanks to Larry for helping out and being co-leader for this event!

A red-shouldered hawk was seen on the way in.  We made our way along the frigid paths admiring various formations of ice along the way.  The frozen designs of water in the streams and icicles dangling from granite ledges provided great photo opportunities. 

We spotted a sord of ducks huddled together along the riverbank.  The crisp clear skies gave unobstructed views from the overlooks.  We watched a white hawk circle overhead from one spot.  The hike buzzed with lively conversation and fun was had by all.  Despite the chilly air, it was a good day for a hike!
