This was the hardest hike of the day, because the temperature had risen to almost 90 degrees - - and a few of us were getting pretty tired. We kept a moderate pace and enjoyed friendly conversation throughout the hike.

We saw a tiny little turtle scampering down the cement entrance - - very likely a newborn judging from the size. I placed it on a grassy area which seemed more suitable to the little guy.

Congratulations to Gerrilyn and Mildred who made it through 5 hikes today (and lunch at Tijuana Joe's) in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Their hikes totaled over 16 miles! ~ Joyce
