We had a mix of newcomers and veteran AOC members enjoyed a great morning at Chastain Park. We explored lesser-known trails and sights as well as a bit of the PATH trail too. The resident wildlife was out in force as we saw multiple hawks, blue jays, and GA's state bird - the Brown Thrasher, plus a few geese, ducks, and loads of turtles sunning at Hamburger pond. We also appreciated some huge old-growth trees along Nancy Creek to round out the oasis in the city that is Chastain Park.
