Thanks my 12 fellow AOCers and hundreds other fans of the great outdoors who joined me for this unforgettable experience yesterday evening in Piedmont Park.  After staking out a prime front & center concert-viewing spot on Oak Hill's lush lawn we AOC hikers got a kick out of exploring the park's "wilder side."  First circled lovely Lake Clara Meer, then explored the heavily wooded periphery of the newly "origami-decorated" Atlanta Botanical Garden.  Arrived back at the open-air concert area just in time for the wonderful Atlanta Symphony performance.  Conducted masterfully by ASO maestro Anthony Parnther the program included popular light-classical favorites from Back to the FutureKing RichardCall of the WildOut of AfricaE.T. and more.
Despite the hotter than average temperatures everyone in the audience took advantage of the increasing evening shade & low humidity - also appreciated the concert sponsors providing plenty of cool ice water and souvenir hand-held fans!
It was fun having newly active member Sarah and her friend Jon with us. We thank you, Jon for joining the AOC just a couple of hours prior to yesterday's outing and for choosing it as your very first event with our fine Club.  Hope to see you both often in the future!
