Due to a couple of last minute withdrawals, our full group of 15 was a bit smaller, but it was a fine group for our morning hike. We kept a moderate pace, tackling several hills plus that really long, rutted hill that is unavoidable in the middle of the park. That hill is never easy, especially as the temperatures begin to reflect summer heat.

We got back to our cars a little early, so we covered only 4.3 miles. No one seemed to mind that we cut the hike a bit short..
