Another really nice Thursday morning hike at Island Ford today. We had a challenging competition up the warm-up hill, which ended in a tie between David V. and Steve F. After that, we soon greeted the renegades who were gathering in the parking lot at the Visitor Center. (We also passed them on the lollipop trail - - a double encounter today!). Talk about encounters, we also saw Carol, José, their son, Matt, and their dog, Tommy on the trails. Great news . . . Carol and José will soon be joining us on some AOC hikes now that Carol has recovered from her double knee-replacement surgery.

It was great to have Bunnie with us on today's hike. We hadn't seen her in quite a while. And, as always, I am grateful to Lee for the pictures he added to this album. ~. Joyce
