We had a grand celebration hike (and lunch) to honor Holt's completion of his 400th AOC event! We chose the perfect day for the hike, both for the weather and for the location (Red Top Mountain). Holt led the hike, stopping briefly for historical information along the way, but otherwise, we kept up a good steady pace, covering 5.8 miles in our allotted time of 2.5 hours.

We welcomed DawnB. to the AOC on today's hike. (Not to be confused with Dawn B. our veteran member!) She's a friendly hiker with a ready smile, surely to become a favorite on our local hikes.

Eleven of us brought our lunches with us (plus a lot of items to share), so we found a couple of benches in the sun and enjoyed a great hour or so of social time following our hike.
