We had a grand ol' time traipsing through Vickery Creek this morning, thankful that most of the heavy leaf cover had blown off the trails, making footing much, much easier.

The first half hour of our hike was slow with picture taking at the Magic Tree, the Bathroom building, the waterfall, and the Covered Bridge. Then, Russ put pedal-to-the-medal and we were able to get in about 5.5 miles in the two hours.

A small group of us were able to spot a buck crossing the trail - - a real treat!
