Write Up:
It's pretty rare when you can climb Kennesaw Mountain in the snow, but a good, strong group of people from the AOC did just that this morning about 8:00 AM.  I climbed it the day before and it wasn't too bad in terms of being slippery, but with the snow being packed down by hikers and the melting and refreezing last night, it was nothing short of treacherous on the initial climb up Big Kennesaw.  The going was slower than normal, but everyone made it to the top and to the Mountain Road crossing.  At the Mountain Road crossing, several decided that it might be better to just head back down the road, so they did.  The rest continued on over Little Kennesaw and down to Burnt Hickory Road where every synced up.  Much to the trip leader's surprise, everyone wanted to do the extra loop, so we did.  We worked our way to Noses Creek then headed back to Pigeon Hill and crossed the mountains again.  It was another great group today, and a lot of fun in the snow.
