No rain! Our fleet-footed crew of eleven hikers trek the Appalachian Trail on Saturday, achieving a moving speed of 3.0 mph on our way from Woody Gap to Gooch Mountain shelter and back. We finished our hike a few minutes before the first raindrops arrived. And yet we still had plenty of time to stop and enjoy the long range vistas from Ramrock Mountain and numerous other overlooks. We also said hello to the latest vintage of AT NOBO throughhikers as they started their journey to Mt. Katahdin.
