It was a fitting evening for the last hurrah of Winter, with temperatures in the 40's and gusty winds. After meeting at the 14th Street gate at Piedmont Park, we set off to explore the park and environs. We passed soccer players in the midst of lively matches, ducks and geese paddling on the lake, and dressed-up youngsters (at a graduation? Bar Mitzvah?) preening at a photoshoot at Park Tavern.

Crossing the street, we merged with the stream of walkers, runners, cyclists and rollerbladers on the Beltline. We admired the artwork in passing as we shared scintillating conversation.

Reaching the Krog Street Market, we stopped inside for a bit of rest and refreshment. Sated, we hopped outside and returned the way we'd come. We had great views of the sunset as we made our way back to our starting point, and said farewell to each other as well as to Ol' Man Winter. Until next time!
