Write Up:
I hope the nine others on this hike enjoyed it as much as I did. Nice weather, beautiful scenery, over 5 miles without too much huffing and puffing, nice people and good conversations. Best of all, when I was ready to turn around after 2.5 miles, Joyce suggested that we go a bit further to an overlook. We did and saw a beautiful blue heron in the creek who seemed happy to pose for our photos. Thank you Joyce for being a great mentor and first co-lead in my quest to become a trip leader. Gerrilyn.
