Today's 7+ miler at Vickery Creek and Allenbrook was quite a workout! According to Gerrilyn's split stats, a couple of miles were well under 20 minute miles, and the elevation gain was 750 feet. The climb beside the cliffsDescription (optional)Joyce Taaffe
Russ always checks for Bleau at the beginning of the hike. No sight of him! at Allenbrook was the toughest part of the hike, but everyone made it up without incident. (A helping hand from Lee and a helping pole-pull from Julie were greatly appreciated!)

We saw lots of items of interest during the hike - - blooming Mountain Laurel, blackberry vines, and Golden Ragwort, Description (optional)(turtles, and finally Bleau! As we were crossing the covered bridge at the end of the hike, there was Bleau right below us in the river! Lee spotted him and stopped Russ and me so that we could take photos.
