We had an interesting hike from Riverside Park past Don White Park into the woods along Riverside Road. We walked to the Indian Mound, and on the way met a man who happened to be a historian on Native American Indians! We stopped for a while to listen to him talk about the area.

Other than one flooded section of trail, passage in the woods was great. We also took a little detour through the garden behind St. Andrew Catholic Church where there are statues of the 14 Stations of Christ.

We were happy to welcome some new members (Jane and Janet) and to welcome back Beth H. who hasn't hiked with us since Covid!
