Yesterday was a great day for the Pine Mountain/Cooper's Furnace hike.  We had 8 hikers - 2 people had to withdraw earlier due to injuries.  The weather was perfect - very cool at start time and warmed up into the 60s by the finish.  Skies were clear and allowed great views of Lake Alatoona. We took several breaks to rest and enjoy the weather and scenery.  We had a very strong group and hiked at an average pace of 2.9 mph.

We also had a new AOC member, Kris Bleiler, on her first hike with the club.  Kris did very well on the hike, proving thaat she is a strong D4 hiker.  Welcome. Kris!
