Write Up:
On an overcast and temperate morning, 16 of us gathered at Kennesaw Mountain.  Thankfully the rain gave us a break after so much came down over the week. With the time change, the 8am departure was only a few minutes after sunrise so we were able to spot 7 deer, 5 right at the beginning.  There were some flowers blooming between Kennesaw and Little Kennesaw and quite a few bustling birds such as an eastern phoebe and some warblers: spring is definitely here.  Gathering for the first time in full at Burnt Hickory, most of us opted to do the full loop before heading back over the mountain.
