This evening's Piedmont Park Hike + Concert "double-header" was held at the perfect time . . . ideal mild temperatures and no rain. Quite a change from the sweltering heat of the one last June. We had a great turnout of 21 AOCers, including two newly active members, Natalia & Rhea.  A big welcome also to Brenda and Bonnie who both had just 3 prior outings with our fine club. It's always special to have newbies on our events!
The hike before the concert was fun. We went just under two miles in order to get back in time for the Community Concert, held before the Atlanta Symphony performed. The theme of the night was "Latin-inspired music," so it was largely upbeat and rhythmic. Our group got to Oak Hill early enough to set up our chairs right behind the reserved section, so we had great views of the orchestra and no distractions.
