The call on today's weather was challenging, but we decided to go ahead and chance the hike to honor Shirley Wang on reaching her 300th AOC event! We were lucky! There was a torrential downpour before the hike, so we had on our rain gear, but by hike time, the rain all but stopped, so we removed our raincoats and took off! The rest of the hike was rain free!

The group was friendly and fit, so we enjoyed a lot of conversation during our two hours on the trails. When we finished, we enjoyed some great treats - - cookies , watermelon, popsicles, trail mix, and snack crackers. We feasted, and then some of us went to Panera's for lunch, where we were joined by Dolores, who continues to recover from her knee replacement surgery.
