We had an extremely bogus weather map this morning!  It showed no rain throughout the morning, but somehow we had lots of rain before the hike, a little rain during the first part of the hike, and ultimately just cloudy skies for the remainder of our trek.  We went into the neighborhood next to Island Ford and hiked along Northside Drive, which used to be the park entrance before it was closed.  We went through some neighborhood streets and ended up at the busy intersection of Northside Drive and I-400.  We eventually returned to the park and hiked DOWN the warm-up hill onto the river trail before turning into the woods to eventually hike back along the ridge to our parking lot.  We finished early, with only 4 miles covered . . .  but we were all grateful to get in a hike this morning.  Pooh!  My rain bubble burst today!  ~ Joyce
