In the hottest part of the day in the middle of a long, hot, humid summer, four crazy, excuse me, brave hikers with plenty of stamina took to the trails of Stone Mountain. Amy, Linda and Tom, all SM veterans, joined me for a walk along the Nature and Connector trails to start our climb up the mountain on the Cherokee. We cut over to the woods for some shade until we reached the top. We walked around the top before descending via the woods. We totalled 4 miles and had 789 feet elevation. At 90 degrees it seemed like more.
