Write Up:You couldn't even see the mountain on the drive up this morning, but we knew it was there :-) There was a 50% chance of it not raining on us, and in the end we only got sprinkled upon just a little bit along the way. Still we got wet from the high exertion level and high humidity, but we didn't get cold or anything until we stopped for a break. We couldn't see a thing from the top of Big Kennesaw Mountain. It was a good and strong group this morning and we averaged around 3 mph in the end. Still, we stopped to check out the wildflowers. The bloodroot is starting to bloom, plus we saw some toadshade trillium getting started on their blooms - but not there yet. We had a good time today. We didn't let the rain threat keep us from getting our hike in!
